Nettie Stone - Sarah Jeannette "Nettie" Dowell Stone, 1866-1939

The inscription reads: Sr. Nettie Stone
Died first part of Sept 1939.
Buried in Adin, Calif.

Sarah Jennette “Nettie” Dowell Stone was born in Nevada, April 1866 (1900 census) and died 6 September 1939 in San Joaquin County, California.
She was married to Levi Stone in 1883.[1] This couple is found in the 1900 census.[2] Levi E. Stone, age 37, born Sept 1862 and wife Sarah J., age 34, b. Apr 1866. Sarah has given birth to 9 children of which 8 survive. The children with them in this census are; Mark E., age 15, Rena age 13 [Serena], Lee R. age 12, Meriba R. age 10 [May], Alice age 8, Alma age 6, Lura age 3 and Herold E. age 1 [Harold].

Levi Elias Stone died 29 June 1905. He is buried in Adin, Modoc County, California in the Adin Cemetery.[3]

The 1910 census, Nettie Stone is a widow, living in Providence, Lassen County, California with children: Rena L., age 23, Ray L. age 22, May R. age 20, Alice M. age 18, Alma N. age 16, Lura E. age 13, Harold Z. age 11, Emma, age 8.[4]

The 1920 census, Nettie Stone has now moved to Fairview, Merced County, California.[5] She has children, Harold E., age 20 and Emma B. age 18, still living with her.

The 1930 census has Nettie J. Stone back in the area living with her now married daughter, Lura R. Wardwell, in Alturas, Modoc County, California.[6]

Sarah J. Stone died, 6 September 1939, in San Joaquin County, California.[7] Sarah is buried in the Adin Cemetery, Adin, California.[8]

Going through the Autograph album finds another page with the same photo of Nettie, plus two photos of her daughters and others. If possible I would like verification of the names in the photos.

I would love to know what the two of them are looking at. Unfortunately that part of the photo was torn off.
